Cytology is a rapidly developing area of pathology currently
undergoing many changes.
The introduction of Liquid Based Cytology (LBC) has been a major
change for cervical screening. Now automated imaging
& guided screening along with HPV testing are being

BD SurePath™ is a unique LBC system that is widely used in the
UK and around the world. It is distributed in the UK and Ireland
by Source BioScience Healthcare on behalf of BD.
Liquid based cytology is a method of producing clear
slides for both gynae cytology and diagnostic cytology
specimens
BD SurePath™ LBC enables advanced technologies such as BD
FocalPoint™ automated screening and adjunctive testing such as
ProExC™or RapidHPV™ to be
